It may have had fenders.
Sadly a customer of ours fell victim to a thief in San Francisco on or about June 1, 2005. The bike was stolen from a condominium complex under development with other items.
The bike was delivered in October 2004 and was not ridden to any great degree. It was a 17-inch wheel AM18 with flat bars, day rack and a weekend or day bag. The color of the frame was the traditional AM7 steely grey so it may be mistaken for the older bike. The AM18 is distinctive in that the rear spring is easily identifiable as it has a presta air valve fitting, The flat bars and late edition parts make it look very sporty.
If anyone sees something similar on E-bay or elsewhere please notify me directly and I'll compare it to the actual item.
It's a sad day when a Moulton is lost to infidels and the unwashed; especially American ones.
I am dispatching my Special Agent for these affairs; Adrian "Lefty" Hands to San Francisco shortly to chase down any leads.
Yours in Cycling,
Gilbert Anderson
